Westpac Visit
Thursday 1st August
This morning’s Leading a Creative Life class were joined by three Westpac managers.
Mark Lu, Jeff Tuffey and Bin Shao volunteered in the class, talked to the artists about their lives, their art practice and, in Mark and Allyson’s case, the really important stuff – their cats.
Westpac managers have been volunteering in our morning classes most of this week, and we are very appreciative of their time, their thoughtfulness and the interest they’ve taken in the artists and the studio.
Thanks very much Westpac NZ!

Guy Seanyear’s Painting Tutorial
In Thursday morning’s Leading a Creative Life class, artist Guy Seanyear gave the volunteers a painting lesson.
Guy can work quickly and confidently, constructing a painting with washes of colour, then adding the fine details. It was the ideal method to show Bin Shao, Jeff Tuffey and Mark Lu – the Westpac managers who volunteered in the class.
At the end of the session, tutor Sasha Iyengar had Jeff and Mark talk about their paintings with the class. Sharing the work and discussing it is a big part of the artist’s’ practice in Leading a Creative Life.
Thanks for helping in the studio and taking part in Guy’s tutorial, Westpac NZ – it was a lot of fun and your paintings are terrific!
