The title “So Much There Is…” emerged from Māpura Studios artist Russell Julian, articulating the “everything” of life: the broad spectrum of people and complexities that saturate our world.
The exhibition ran from 25 August to 15 September showcasing the rich diversity of our creative community at Māpura Studios – how we are different from each other and yet united through creativity and human experience

Panel Discussion, Thursday 8 September 2016

A facilitated discussion about the barriers to inclusion in the art world for people with disabilities and the role art can play in unifying people.
The panel included Jacqueline Fahey, renowned artist; Barry de Geest, entrepreneur and disability advocate; Rachel Coppage, Deaf artist and art tutor; Tanya Black, producer at Attitude TV; and Allyson Hamblett, artist and CCS Disability Action Auckland Advisory Committee Chair.
Wheelie Day – Saturday, 10 September 2016
Artists brought their wheels along (scooters, wheelchairs, pushchairs, trikes, walking frames, roller blades, etc) to make a large collaborative artwork using a unique form of printing.
Dancing the way into this fun, celebratory and joyous process.
