Experience the world through Cheyenne Minhinnick’s unique perspective at Mt Roskill Library’s Art Exhibition.
Cheyenne has been living with deaf blindness since birth. He finds joy in connecting with people. He loves how people interact, and enjoys listening to the sound of their chatter and laughter.
A multi-talented artist, Cheyenne immerses himself in the world of music, playing the keyboard and serenading with favorites like ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” As an active member of the Māpura Creative Music Group, he showcases his versatility on instruments such as the guitar, drums, and glockenspiel.
Exploring a tactile approach to art, Cheyenne carves Schist, a white stone of medium grain, translating his tactile experiences into meaningful creations. This exhibition unveils his recent foray into pottery, showcasing a shift from stone to clay. The pieces on display capture his evolving journey in this new medium, offering a glimpse into Cheyenne’s unique artistic expression.
Join us in celebrating the remarkable artistry of Cheyenne Minhinnick at this one-of-a-kind exhibition.
