Allyson Hamblett – Our local hero!
Well done Allyson for being a finalist in Westfield’s 2024 Local Heroes Awards.
Every Westfield shopping centre has three finalists, and Allyson was one of the three at Westfield St Lukes.
At a lunchtime event yesterday, Allyson was awarded as finalist and she has secured a $5,000 grant for Māpura Studios to go towards art and art therapy classes to disabled and disadvantaged people in the community.

As an artist with Cerebral Palsy and an advocate for a more creative and inclusive society, Allyson is a living example of the benefits of art therapy – and a true local hero.
The Westfield St Lukes 2024 Local Heroes Award winner was Dr Fahima Saeid from New Settlers Family And Community Trust (NFACT), and the other finalist was Michelle Jennings from Ripple.
Congratulations to all finalists and thank you for your wonderful work in the community!
