Joanna Lynskey
Joanna Lynskey has been coming to Māpura for a very long time. Currently she attends class twice a week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, catching the train each time and walks from Morningside train station up to Māpura.
Joanna loves creating cats, and uses a variety of ways to create them, including pencil, charcoal, and acrylic paint. The artist plans to enter the IHC Art Awards later this year, as Joanna has done quite a few times before.
Joanna worked for World Fashion for 9 years with Denise Lestrange Corbet and learnt a lot about the fashion industry. Denise’s love of the arts saw her first judge the IHC Art Awards in 2009, she then went onto become the IHC Art Awards Ambassador in 2017 and was made Patron of IHC New Zealand in 2022.
Joanna has a very famous cousin who is more famous than she is, Melanie Lynskey who played Rose in Two and A Half Men, amongst many other roles.
