Colin Harris
Colin Harris has been attending Māpura Studios since 2018.
Currently he enjoys making sculpture with different objects, using recycled or unwanted objects. He has been creating collages and using words in his artwork.
Colin likes making zines with Māpura Art Tutor, Tim Danko. Colin also been playing guitar since he was 15 or 16 and comes to Māpura Music on Wednesday afternoon and Open Studio One on Monday morning.
Our Open Studios classes are dynamic learning environments allowing artists to develop their creative skills and art activities.
The art tutors and therapists encourage the artists to be self-directed, to explore personally meaningful themes and content in their work, and develop their own unique style.
Māpura Music is a collaborative programme open to all ages and abilities. No musical experience or skill is necessary, just a ‘give it a go’ attitude and a willingness to explore sound and creativity in a supportive and fun environment.
Colin just has to be creative, and gets stressed when he’s not at Mapura Studios
